Video: David Haye public workout ahead of his November 13 fight against Audley Harris

He was fighting off the back foot against the soft-punching Fragomeni. Obviously it makes sense to because he was short, but just look at all his fights at HW. He lures opponents in and sets traps. A lot of times he leads of the back foot, as well as counters. He has never remotely done his best Mike Tyson impression in a fight even when he's clearly the shorter man. Even against Enzo. It's a lot of 1-2's, countering, etc. I've never seen him use that sort of head-movement to get in and then rally a combination to the body. Whether's he's a "brawler" or "boxer" as you put it. Just because he has power I don't think that makes him a brawler. Was quite a brawler against Valuev.

and i say hes a brawler because of his fights against mormeck, ruiz, thompson, macca and even barrett.

I don't classify him as a brawler, although I could see how you could. It's just odd, brawlers don't fight off the back foot much.

 

he's not a brawler, but he tends to get into trades when he shouldn't.

Guys, what is that equipment that he is using, 9:40 mark and all. A stairmaster - latter machine?

 

He's had a few trades at heavy because he hasn't carried his power up. He's fast and he hits hard, but he doesn't have one-punch power at that weight. He hit weak-jawed Ruiz with everything but the kitchen sink and he couldn't keep him down.

Right, he was over-anxious against Barret trying to make a great debut at HW in that arena (I know he fought, **** what's his name before going back to the CW division. Some ranked #9 guy).

After that though he's been a bit more cautious. He's neither purely a boxer or brawler.

That's true. I figured he did more with more weight as the video turned off because I figured he wouldn't do just one set of explosive work. Poor assumption on my part.
