What is the best hear to get to sparr? I have the cheapest one (all i cud afford at the time) the everlast 30$ one and everytime i catch a decent punch i get a busted eye, but when i deliver a much better and harder punch to my sparring partner he just gets shaken w no busted eye. And also when i saw manny and Jose sparring video i saw Manny taking some shots that if i would take w my headgear would of busted my whole face.

Whats the best to get and price range? :bbb

I never wore headgear when I sparred, I was too "tough" and have the scars above my eyes and my goatee hides the rest. I would let HW's bang my head for fun when I was young. I thought I was "tough" then, now that I am older I realize I was just..........."STUPID"........lol. Good luck.

Fightgear has some nice headgear, and the prices aren't that bad either

Save, save, and save some more and get the best head gear you can possibly afford.

Being broke is temporary. Brain damage is forever.

Eloquent but brain damage won't be prevented by headgear. Equipment prevents cuts and bruises, but it does little for the brain rattling that occurs if you take many punches to the head. Your head will still be shaken. Pro boxers who suffer damage do so because of frequent, rough sparring sessions.

Want to avoid brain damage? Improve your defense. And don't "overspar".

headgear does stil reduce the amount of shock to the brain, try taking the headgear off against a puncher and see.
