Yeah I know. I just have horrible memories of the Prescott fight. The first fight I ever went to see live and what a ****ing disaster :patsch

I still hope that Amir was just caught cold...

That's also true, but Rico, I think his pressure is hugely overrated. I mean really, does he look as relentless as guys like Gomez and Katsidis?

He doesn't chase you around the ring. He doesn't pin you down and blitz out, he engages when you engage, but the thing is, the people who have engaged (Ortiz, Cayo, Corley) threw how many punches when they did?

One. They throw one to two shots at maximum. You notice how Khan and been saying he'll stand and won't run, right?

He clearly means that he'll get in, throw his combinations and get out. It's a clear game-plan, and one I think is now possible.

Maidana's a sitting duck, waiting for you to engage so he can.

My only doubt is not getting caught at all. If Khan doesn't get caught, I'll be amazed, but I think I'm only doubting Khan because I'm fairly worried (As you probably are yourself too).

I'm coming around to thinking Khan will put on a masterclass. His speed will neutralise the power.

Was the crowd happy for Prescott and cheering? Or was it more of a in shock type of crowd when it happened? :think

Oh ****, you went to watch that live?!

Damn. Were you sitting close? What was it like watching a demolishing like that, live? I remember watching it on TV, and seeing Prescott start off with those looping swings. You could tell there and then that they were full of venom. And when that jab landed, I thought..."what the ****? :huh Did he just rock him with a jab?"

Then seconds later, one of those vicious left-hooks connect on Khan's temple, and off he went. Astonishing:

Khan has been matched against powder puff punchers since the Prescott fight, and it’s got Khan and his boxing fan’s confidence way up in the stratosphere.

How can you improve if you’re being put in with fighters that can’t punch and who are no threat? I’ve seen no improvement from Khan in the past five fights. What I’ve seen is very good match-making by having him put in with fighters that are no threat to him. Well, Maidana is and there really isn’t much of a chance that Khan will escape this fight without getting knocked out.

They were shocked man. Everyone looking at each other like 'what the ****?'. A few boos rang out as he left the ring but most were on Khan's side.

I also went to the Barrera fight in the same place (MEN) and that was different. A lot of Barrera supporters and when Amir won, you could tell a lot of people weren't happy. Haters were out in force that night.

I had awesome seats. The next level behind the VIPs dead centre of the ring. Its ****ing surreal even thinking about it now. We were still getting hyped and then BOOM! fight over.

Ah. But I'm sure the crowd broke out a roar when the fight got stopped. Did they think Barrera won?

    Seriously, make your mind up.

Don't come back on here after the fight, regardless of the result, saying "I told you so" when you don't seem to have a clue what's going to happen.

Khan HAS to beat Maidana. Maidana is a crude slugger that can be outboxed, which is ideal for Khan at this stage. Another knockout loss for Khan would be brutal for his career.

What do you mean, make your mind up? Who the hell are you?

Read my posts. I said I'm 52/48 towards Maidana but can see it going either way.

If you're considering betting on my opinion, then I'll give you a serious break-down, otherwise I don't know why YOU are telling me to make my mind up.

I won't say 'I told you so'. I'll be happy Khan proved me wrong.

Don't get me wrong, most people still were supporting Khan but there was also BIG support for Barrera.
