The obvious reference for this outcome is the Frazier fight, however one must take into account Dempsey's versatility which in uncommon for swarmers. Having said that, I got George winning by knockout anywhere between rounds 4-8
Frankly, this would have had a very good chance to end up like the Foreman vs Lyle fight, with both men hitting the canvas more than once... I suspect George's overall size would probably do Shavers in,but in the Lyle fight,it was Lyle's right hand that got George in trouble.George's jab was good, but it was slow coming back.Shavers could have done to Foreman what Lyle did and time that right hand counter...Of course,Lyle whipped Shavers so the right hand counter potential might not be there....
shavers was just a hard puncher, he was an average boxer with glass chin, his stamina was not better than foreman“s. foreman had brutal hitting power in both hands, solid chin, he was better boxer, he had a very powerful jab, he had longer reach, much more strength and he destroys punchers. i think even foreman76-77 (bad mentally) would ko shavers, this one would be closer. but a prime 72-74 george foreman would absolutely destroy shavers.
