adamek underrated?

Ya gotta love a guy who gets insulted by the suggestion that an Arreola right hand may have hurt him!

He's not well known but not underrated. Those who rate him (therefore know him) usually have a pretty high opinion on him. Tony Thompson is an underrated HW.

 

He isnt underrated. He is ranked where he should be - top5.

However many people here seem to overrate Klitschkos and think they are untouchable. Adamek is one of the very few boxers in the HW division today, who can give a competetive fight against Klits.

Adamek not being able to beat a Klit does not make him overrated,it puts him on the same boat as the rest of the ENTIRE HW division.

 

I think if he fought Vitali he could give him a good fight, Wlad would decimate him.

 

Not in the heavyweight division, if anything he's over-rated at HW. I respect the fact he's stepped up and he's skilled relative to some of the others in the division. But he doesn't have the power to keep true heavyweights off him should they press or to hurt legit super-heavies. Nor can he take true heavyweight power from a super-heavy.

 

In terms of Boxing ability I think he gets underrated a little, you dont beat the likes of Cunningham, Banks Estrada just by being a tough SOB, not that im saying they are great fighters, but their styles would lead you to believe they could give Adamek more than he could handle, only Adamek managed to beat them.

Adamek is also a decent,underrated body-puncher with decent hand speed.
