when I say boxer-puncher, I mean that specific kind of boxing style, where you box the majority of the time in pursuit of the hard shots. it's the gray area that exists between a pure boxer (like a mayweather and a calderon) and a pure puncher (like an earnie shavers or james kirkland). that's adamek's style, it always has been. he boxes a little more now that his power has diminished, but it's still his style. if it wasn't, you wouldnt see him coming forward with aggressive combinations in spurts (estrada, grant, arreola), he would be a pure backfoot fighter.

Yes, Adamek is a boxer puncher. Of course he is more boxer than puncher. But he still has the power to keep big guys in a safe range. And dont believe what Grant says - he had 12 rounds and he respected Adamek the whole fight. The same was with Arreola.

I believe that Povetkin may be a good call, but he is still a prospect and havent fight a good fighter for a long time.

Adamek had troubles against Arreola and didn't proved he's got the smallest chance against the Klitshkos in his fight against Grant. He's a good boxer and I enjoy his fights, but I think he's gone as far as he could in the heavyweight division. I'd like to see him against Haye, tough.

I think Adamek boxing skills are very underrated here.
