One fighter that comes into my mind would be Miguel Cotto. What do you think guys? IMO he is a text book fighter but he can also brawl.
atsch Miguel Cotto is very textbook. Hands high, tight stance, every punch in the book with correct form, and he never goes wild or throws really sloppy punches. Couple that with pretty good footwork and an acceptable, if slightly porous, defense, and you have someone who is at least decent in all the textbook boxing skills.
Cotto is not a technical boxer, he is a slugger with some basic boxing skills. Mosley can be a technical boxer, when he makes the effort, but he usually gets into slugging matches, for whatever reason.
stop being so elitist miguel has a high guard....so does vargas tight stance.....so does ricardo mayorga textbook means you do everything by the book cotto doesnt fight by the book thus making him not a textbook fighter
Sugar ray leanord was def not a textbook fighter, He did not fight by the book he fought like sugar ray. ats kinda like saying roy jones was a text book fighter, lol text book fighters dont keep there hands low because they no they dont need to because there just that fast like roy jones.
