Ward on Froch

Bit worrying for Froch i thought how easy he was getting tagged to the body against Kessler,hurtful punches too.

Trust me, and Kessler's not that fast

Ward will be landing shots at will if they meet and Froch will be slugging at thin air

I dunno. At least you know Froch isn't going to be taken out there easily. He is stubborn as a mule and it might become like Kessler v Andrade.
Still questions over Wards ability to take a shot but more skilled men then Froch haven't managed to find a way to test it.

 

I been saying Ward is the best SMW since the early days when people said he was no good...

... by far the 3 best SMW’s in the world:

1. Andre Ward
2. Lucian Bute
3. Carl Froch

I’d take Froch to beat Kessler with ease in a rematch and possibly upset Bute... and also give Andre Ward the fight that a #2 SMW should.

Just look at what Pascal done @ light heavyweight.

I just think more from a style point of view he would have a lot of advantages. I think Ward could win in so many ways...he would mix it up, counter him on the outside on occasions. However i think the main plan and the way he would beat Froch would be to try and force him on the back foot and get him fighting backwards and second guessing himself.

Andre would blindfold him and smother Carl's power. He would grab and rip him with short punches, especially hooks which he throws from different angles. Ward would be to much for Froch on the inside IMO. The kid really has that holding and spinning down to a T. He's like Bernard Hopkins in that aspect, The window for Carl would just be far to small IMHO.

I think Ward adapts really well aswell and would have so many options on the table, if you were trying to pick the best style for Ward to look great against, it would be Froch. Ward knows when to punch, he knows angles, he even understands how to make it look like he’s doing more than he’s actually doing.

 

Its hard to see how anyone can beat Ward at the moment. I agree on his versatility and skill set. The only potential ***** in his armour is he hasn't shown he can produce consistently at world level yet. That's not to say he won't but you never know.

 

In other words, I beat him and so will lord him.

Ward was dirty as hell in that fight, though on the night he outclassed Kessler no doubt.

I was surprised how clean Froch vs Kessler was. I think Froch would have been far better off applying his normal roughhouse stuff.

Still, I guess he respected Mikkel, perhaps too much. Having said that, there's nothing wrong with boxing like gentlemen.

Froch is perhaps at his best being as nasty as he can be, getting away with what he can, imho.

 

Ward can believe in what he wishes, but taking the, 'Son of God' tag, especially for a religious guy, into the ring, is very crass at best, imho.
