Ah yes, remember the avatar. I'm an avatar person, thats how I tend to remember a lot of people that aren't posting serious volume.

I went Hatton, though I think it's relatively close.

Strangely, I get the feeling had the same poll been done say a year ago, it would have been a lot closer.

Hatton has the best resume imo. No matter what people say about how padded his early record was he still won them all, somethin Haye never done. An he was only exposed when he fought the 2 best fighters in the world. Maybe if haye stops worrying about contracts an actually fights, the answers on this thread would be different. In Hayes defence though, there was a lot more fighters with decent names around light welter/welter than there was at cruiser and is currently at heavy

Hatton was a genuine world champion, who has beaten a world class fighter in Kosta to win the title.

Haye is a paper world champion, who has beaten no one at HW to prove he is a genuine world champion.

If Haye fights and beats one of the Klitshcko's, before they are so ancient for it to count, then he might be ranked with Hatton.

david haye won his title on foreign soil. the only very good win in hatton's career was kostya, and to be honest even that kostya was right at the end of his career. david haye beating either of the klits would be on par with hatton's resume, and if he beat both klits then he'll exceed hatton's resume. that's a big if though, and i don't think haye will be able to do that.

hatton's resume not it's all done and dusted wasn't that great.

Minor quibbles apart, we basically agree here - Haye is unlikely to match, and extremely unlikely to surpass Hatton's resume. Seems to have run out of steam a bit after his early burst into the HW division, or maybe that's him and his team just taking a coldly realistic view of their options against either of the Klits. It's a business afterall.

Hatton and the way Haye is going it always will be.Not only is he not fighting the best out there he hardly fights at all.He should have had 3 fights already this year not 1.

i get the impression that david haye doesn't want to fight at all and just wants to cash out.. not the sort of attitude to beat the klits that's for sure.
