Haye v Harrison Tickets

I'm talking HW title fights. Look at the Klitchos undercards and Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson etc before that. All better than Ruiz-Haye undercard.

Those 2 fights for Haye-Ruiz were not up to chief support standard even allowing for the fact that undercards have dropped in quality over the last 20-30 years.

 

Klit undercards are the shittest around

 

This is true but misses the point. A strong undercard does two things.

Firstly it gives the promoter a better chance of ensuring that the event is good, enjoyable. If you just book a one-match card and that match blows, well you're gonna have a lot of disgruntled customers who may be less willing to buy the next event.

Secondly it helps create new stars - something that is particularly true in Britain where pay per views tend to be purchased by more people than the sky sports boxing specials are watched. Put a couple of upcoming fighters in featured matches on the undercard helps expose them to a wider audience.

 

With the news about Darren Mcdermott, how about Groves - Smith.

That'd be great support.

Was one of the best fights to watch live ever, although the atmosphere for Hatton vs Mayweather just seemed better. I think because It was all english fans against an american fighter in America.... shame Hatton lost though.

 

Was that through ticketmaster or the MEN itself? Just wondering will their be any tickets around next week. Just hope there are some next week when I get my wages.

 

Exactly. Sauerland, Hennessy, some of these obscure yank PPVs are poor, but nothing quite as bad as a Klitschko fight. Johnathan Banks taking some bum to a 12 round unanimous decision on every card they have, then a few more fights with nobodies. The Haye v Ruiz undercard wasn't great, but it was a dam site better than any recent Klitschko undercard.

Thanks **** we won't have to sit through that undercard on saturday.

 

Cheers I'll probably go down next week as it is only a train ride away. You never know I'll prob get an 88 quid one.
