You're reaching a bit here. Pascal wasn't giving a chance. It was the only option to make money with a title defence with Diaconu in Montreal and they thought the romanian would win the fight.

You do realize that Miranda and Bika is a former opponent of Ward and Bika is the next (outside the S6) and Andrade (if he fight him) would be the second best fight of his career? I'm not shiting on Ward, i just find it odd that a guy with one good win have all the praise like he is now already on the HoF of boxing.

We dont know wich opponent Bute will face, but the fact he will be paid 2M$ a fight for 3 fights with the same broadcaster with all the "best" 168 should makes you happy since they wont pay him this kind of money to fight nobodies.

So if you were his manager right now you would have put him in the ring with... with... . C'mon, tell us, don't be shy. Pascal is not available. If he went to 175 you could have kissed goodbye from a Bute - Ward in the next 5 years.
I bet you would have thrown him into the porn industry long time ago just to cash on him :).

Pascal WAS available. As are Cloud and Dawson. There's nothing available at 168 for the time being. Time to step out of the comfort zone, Lucian.

Bute-Ward isn't exactly Pacquiao-Mayweather, guy. The world isn't exactly awaiting that matchup.

Make some goddman fights while you are still young enough.

Could you please make an effort to spell Bute's name correctly?

    It's Bute and not Butte.

If Bute wins against Stieglitz, he'll have 2 belts. The super winner should have the 2 belts, so a fight between both of them would have all belts on the table.

I'm waiting for Bute-Ward more than Bute-Pascal. If Bute had fought Pascal, what next for him? Dawson? Cloud? And...nothing else. In staying a SMW, he can fight 3 or 4 big names, go up and fight Pascal, Dawson and Cloud.

A career is not a 6 months thing.

I think this is a smart move for everyone involved. Showtime has options on the S6 winner, and I'd be willing to bet they have options on some of the other guys too. The 168 pound stable Showtime attempted to build suffered from the demise of Jermain Taylor, Mikkell Kessler, and Andre Dirrell. The addition of Bute is good for Showtime because of the Bute fan base, and it is good for Bute because he'll get quality fights with fewer problems.

I thought semi's was based on pts, and Ward had 6. AA had 3 and Froch had 2.

After the Froch/AA fight the winner will have at least 4 pts, possibly 6.

Even if there is a KO with Johnson/Green, that's only 3.

    WTF?

There are only 5 fighters in Super Six. Semi finals stage will contain 4 fighters that means it's gonna be only 1 eliminated... since two fighters have 0 points and fighting each other it is clear that only 1 of them will be eliminated .
