[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA6_9rN1Nbk[/ame] Tyson Vs McNeely. (Whole fight-1 Round) Just watching some Tyson fights. McNeely was going down to stay at some point soon. Do you think the fight should have been stopped there and stopped the way it was stopped? Your thoughts please. Peace
this is boxing. the fight should have went on. his trainer probably thought he had no chance after getting beat on like that right before going down, but come on. mcneely had to have his chance and it was taken away from him.
Bad stoppage, McNeely was fighting the fight of his life and with all his heart. he deserved to go out on his shield
Agree. I thought the fight was stopped to soon. I couldn't see Mcneely winning but in boxing one punch can make a difference. Fight should have continued.
Silly stoppage. They planned to stop it early once Tyson starts to connect so McNeely doesn't get seriously hurt and gets some good fights after it. They were banking on the attention he got in this one, there's an interesting 5 part build-up about it.
Yes, here you go. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p84f1bTtX2Q[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_eXoazX5uw[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtHVPDDVSYg[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O3kda2gI08[/ame]
come on, Rocky's story doesn't exist in real life, the ref probably saved McNeeley's life good stoppage
lol.. before tyson's release..people were fighting to promote/manage him.. I heard a new team called the Muslim Inc wanted to sign him due to him reverting to Islam..the group represented by Murad Muhammad and Matt Sadd Muhammad. So you could see how his trail back into the fight scene was exploitation. Love mike tyson..glad he dropped those lousy azz negroes and swine heads.. *btw im part black..*
Agree. McNeely was fighting and giving his all though. I still think the stoppage was done to early by his corner. Would he lose had it continued, of course. How far could the underdog have made it though if it did continue? We will never know.
Funny you bring up this fight today because I was watching Roy Jones/Brannon and a commentator brought this fight up. He said something like, "The best way to combat fear is to go straight for it like McNeely did". That's not word for word but similar to what I heard. I thought it was abit early but being a ref means making alot of quick judgements so I understand that and don't fault the ref.
Watch the Tyson v Buster mathis fight..Tyson looked like a Novice in there. He was getting pushed back at one stage. I know he had ring rust but for him to be campaigning for the Belts seemed rushed. Now i wonder why they refused to fight a hungry lennox then.. I remember Tua's manager/trainer back then was calling out Tyson after the Bruno fight.. infact so many people were ..
i'm sure pete was glad that the fight was stopped. had it of continued, he would of taken a beating. he shouldn't have been there in the first place.
