Kelly Pavlik -V- Carl Froch at super middle weight

Both got wins over Jermain Taylor, I think it would be a great fight.

    Would you buy this fight?

Kelly has a bigger fight on his hands, right now. lol

Anyway, I'd take Froch. At super middle Pavliks bread and butter 1, 2 is not as effective as he's sluggish with it. It would be a back and forth war but Carl takes a better shot, is the bigger more powerful fighter and is less of a plodder with better underrated foot movement. Froch stoppage late.

Pavlik realises he can't bully Froch, gets beat up and/or stopped. Could subsitute Froch's name for anyone at the top of super middle really.

Pavlik at Supermiddle loses the advantages he had at Middleweight like Margarito does at Light Middle. Have to fight people their own size.

Froch would kick Pavlik's ass, at this point.

Pre-Hopkins Pavlik vs Froch, would be a more even matchup.

I wonder what people would have said pre-Hopkins...

But then I've always thought Pavlik was overrated - an exciting slugger with awful balance and no movement. Calzaghe and Froch would both beat him. But I also think he'd have beaten Williams.

Pre or post b hop, froch wins. Pavlik has a great right hand and that's it. If j taylor had taken him out then this thread would not exist

Pavlik and Froch I think is a 50/50 fight.

It would be a good fight to watch to say the least

close for about 4/5 rounds then froch dominates the weaker, more limited, less dedicated pavlik

i have to say, im very embarrased but i bought into the pre bhop hype and thought he'd stop bernard...im ashamed to say so.

i had to go back and have a better look at him...much more limited than i remembered - i learned my lesson on not believing hype

I agree Slip, Kelly's got a strudy chin I think he'd go the distance and put up a good fight. Froch would take it though in a banging fight.
