Was Judah dehydrated, getting old, or just fought a good fighter?

Yet Zab was fast last night and his reaction time looked good (not what it was, of course but there was a disparity between the two with Zab's advantage there)...he just did like always and faded down the stretch, was getting broken down and that's how the super pooper tends to always poop out. Different religion, different weight class, same Zab.

wasn't Zab working with Eddie Mustafa Muhammad now? what happened? or were his pops and Muhammad both in the corner?

    Almost but not quite.

I honestly believe, if this was the Zab of old, he wouldn't of been able to keep a clean head between the headbutts/getting rocked. And would've gotten himself ko'd or dq'd.

I think he showed more guts than normal when faced with the advanced puncher who kept hurting him with everything down the stretch.

Do I think Zab will be a elite in this weight again? No. I just think he's gonna walk away, a much more respectable fighter than we thought.

The biggest factor was that Lucus was so much damn bigger and Judah was reluctant to trade. Zab needs to let his hands go more, he has a lot of heart but does not always have a lot of courage.... if that makes sense.

Ortiz is the last man Zab should fight as he is a natural WW just like Mathysse was. Too big and powerful for this faded Judah.

Have you looked at the TOP10? McCloskey, Malignaggi, Peterson, Mabuza...

Yeah I get where you're going with that and I couldn't agree more. Judah will stand in there and take a beating like a man but he won't try to take one to give one....his arsenal of punches is also maybe a little bit limited IMO.

Judah's on the slide, he's not as skilled as people think he is, and Matthysse was determined and made it a streetfight late. A combination of the three.

Zab fought very tentatively last night but I do believe he'll open up more against some of the lighter punchers in the upper echelon of the division like Alexander or Kotelnik. I also see him being more aggressive against guys like Khan and Ortiz because he knows that's the only way he'll win. I'm sure he'll probably steer clear of Maidana as he's only hanging around for a couple of more big paydays with belt holders and the risk/reward just isn't there.

His arsenal is pretty much all he has at this point.

I think it was a combination of the fact that he fought a pretty good fighter with a lot of power and the fact that Judah was never really more than a B or B+ fighter himself. The problem is that people have always seen him as someone who was supposed to be more than that, probably himself included, so when he performs like the B-level fighter that he is, people get unreasonably dissapointed with him and say he had a subpar performance. But while i haven't seen the fight yet, from what i hear from the reports, his performance was actually exactly on par with what he is generally able to do in the ring. So people shouldn't be dissapointed with him just because they expected too much from him, that's on them.

And for the record, when i say B-level fighter, i say that with all respect, because anybody who's a B-level fighter in international pro boxing probably wipes the floor with me. Being a B-level fighter makes you a real bad-ass, it just doesn't put you among the baddest of the baddest out there.

Haha I know what your saying with a letter rating. Being B- only makes you better than 90-95% of other boxers, everywhere, in your division :yep

I can't believe Judahs chin stood the task of a pressure fighter with a punch.:think

Maybe age is actually giving Zab a little more grit. Usually he crumbles when hit flush, and yesterday he took some pretty good shots.

Props to Zab for showing some fortitude.

LOL exactly. I just felt i had to underline that because a lot of people say " oh, he's just a B-class fighter" in a very derogatory way.
