Won me back as a fan - a true gentleman - now we need a similar statement off khan http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ts-he-has-no-axe-to-grind-with-Amir-Khan.html
"And you've only got to tune in to Sky Sports on a Saturday night to see the talent that's out there." Nice try, Froch. Enjoy your primetime.
Carl Froch is developing that Champion mentality outside the ring as well as in it. I think in the past he was perhaps getting annoyed that he always went under the radar and others took all the glory when he is obviously the most willing to get in the ring with the best and challenge himself fight after fight and always gives 110% win or lose. Good work Carl squashing the beef with Khan, hope Amir comes out now and responds, it's alot better to support your fellow country men in different weight divisions thah have a pointless beef that will never get to the ring because of different weight class. Big Abraham fan but I support Carl too, may the best man win but I think Carl derserves his title back and his status as a world champion. He truly represents in and out of the ring.
Im starting to warm to Froch. He is one of the only fighters out there that climbs into the ring with the best in his division and at last he has shut up about Calzaghe!!!
Khan: "We've never really spoken to each other, apart from once and he was OK to me then. I spoke to him before one fight I had and he was a really nice guy. I have a lot of respect for him and I think he's a great fighter, but there appears to be a lot of jealousy on his part." I agree with Froch. A lot of misinformation is being spread between the two, which is probably breeding these sort of comments from both sides. Reading an out-of-context statement online, can be misinterpreted so easily. I bet if they met and talked in person, they'd be cool with one another.
I like Froch, he's a bit crude and needs to work on his defense though...but he's one tough nut! And defo world class as he's proven several times now. Re going quiet on JC - I think cos Kessler beat him and JS beat Kessler he's not much choice but to keep quiet now!
Who really cares about wars of words between fighters who are so far apart in weight as to rule out any possibility of them ever settling it in the ring? :huh
Froch is a cool guy. I've always liked his personality. I don't like how he holds his hands low when he doesn't have the reflexes to pull off such a style. That shows arrogance on his part and he will pay for it against Abraham.
