Hey man I am not saying Campbell or Bradley can beat Pac. Campbell, IMHO, is past it. Bradley maybe, but may not be ready. It really is just more of a strange coincidence.

I am just saying it is strange that a fighter can get from 135 to 147 calling himself the best and NEVER literally NEVER fight an African American fighter.

    It is strange.

Mike Tyson would not be considered a "Slick Black" boxer.

Look nobody I don't think even Campbell faults the man under 135. After that though? Hatton was another paper champ.

I think Nate's greater issue is the boxing media hype machine. It is funny how the hype machine seems to work for "certain" fighters, but not for others.

If it was acceptable for Manny not to call out Holt, why in the hell do you all keep telling Mayweather to fight Williams?

The only realistic name is the first and the fight's being made, at least hopefully. Truth is, even today, there are not a lot of guys with PBF and Whitaker's slickness. A lot of guys do the Philly defence, how many of them do it like Floyd? Even among black fighters slickness, true slickness is rare.

That's because to be the best you have to beat the best and the best fighters at those weights were not African American, plain and simple. Campbell should stop running his mouth, I know he doesn't think even in his prime he could have stood a chance against Pacquiao.

I agree with you. Chad is a reach. The Philly Shell is not the determinant factor more than just the make up of the fighter. I am just saying, a 99% boxer's talents are in the ring not on the microphone, hahaha. Any boxing fan should be able to see what Campbell meant and separated the BS from the true question. How did Manny get to +140 and never fight any of those game guys? Not at all saying Campbell or Bradley are like the list.

I think Campbell is expressing a greater frustration at the fight game and media in general. Look at where Ricky Hatton is. How did he get there and remain there with all of these game guys ranked below him?

Are you telling me that the best fighter at 140 is Ricky Hatton? Hell no! He seems to be the only one the media is following though. Who in their right mind would pick Hatton over Bradley? Still, boxing media refuses to follow Bradley.

You think at WW Cotto was the strongest opponent? He was gifted a decision over Clottey. Berto was over there with the strongest record with 0 defeats. Why didn't Manny step up?

Hatton was the most formidable and deserving opponent at 140, he had bounced back from the Mayweather loss with solid wins over Lazcano and Malignaggi. Tell me who has Bradely beaten to deserve a shot at Pacquiao? Nobody.

Cotto was the best welter, you need to step up your boxing knowledge I bet you most people would have said Cotto was the best welter out there for Pacquiao to fight, not Berto not anybody else.

Don't forget Pac won belts at 5 other weight classes, the best fighters at those weights were not African American either, I'm sorry to say. Marquez below 135 was better than any black fighter out there. I will never buy the arguement that Pac purposely avoided black fighters thats BS. More often than not he fought the BEST and thats all you can ask for of a great champion.

I disagree. Usually in boxing as you lose, you lose position. This doesn't seem to hold true for some fighters and the fixed judging seems to keep the others where the need to be. Zab is a perfect example of this. He doens't have a belt, but I think Ricky Hatton would get KTFO. Who has Bradley beaten? Nobody will give Bradley his shot!

Hatton was decent, but he was schooled by Collazo and robbed. Then he was KOed by Mayweather. How was he dangerous? Bradley was a beast sitting there. Why not call out the guy with the O instead of the recent KO?

Cotto was pounded by Zab. Destroyed by Margarito. Gifted a decision over Clottey. Why not take on Berto?

Again, I am not knocking Pac for ANYTHING below 135. Any weight above that? A fight could be made. Hey don't be sorry to say it, Marquez is the man at 135 and below. I agree. Above that though? All of the moves are calculated that would be called "Cherry Picking" if it wasn't MP.
