Don't have such a short memory.... Pacquiao's last 3 weigh-ins Vs. Clottey 145.75 Vs. Cotto 144 Vs. Hatton 138 Margarito could have 30 lbs on Pac, he'll still lose.
so on fight night it will be a welterweight trying to fight a middleweight? i have to see that! pac MIGHT have bit off more than he can chew.
To be fair, Ariza originally had a plan to make Manny gain weight for this fight....Ariza said it on the 24/7....Pacquiao said he didn't want to do that, and Roach agreed...
noone thinks its too light he will be at peak weight probably and firing at all cylinders but margarito is gunna be ****ing huge this is basically a welter vs a middleweight manny done right thing to stay light to keep his speed and mobility, but fighting for 154 pound title and weigh in 144 WOW takes guts
Would you agree that in the Clottey fight, although he looked strong... he looked more sluggish and slower than his previous few fights? I think Pac was right about bulking up too much, he should try and keep the same size as when he fought Cotto... that was some impressive speed and power.
I agree, I also think the reports of him losing speed in camp was true as well....So they cut down a bit, into a slimmer Pacquiao...It might be just me, but he looked like he took a bit of muscle mass off compared to his previous fights....Roach said the past week or so they wanted to focus on speed...
There's no need to put on extra weight just for the sake of it. This is a good weight for Pac - just because the fight is at 150, doesn't mean he has to put on artificial weight.
MP has been pretty consistent in his weigh ins. Come fight time, I'm looking @ Pac- about 149 and AM- about 160.
are you guys not worried that pac wasn't ripped and was still light? or was he his usual but it just looked that way because tony was shredded?
He only looked ripped in the lighter division when he had to drain himself. At 140 and above, he can still take meals before the weight-in and still making it.
