They shouldn't have allowed Margarito the luxury of another 3lbs IMO. Still Manny's hand and footspeed will be the key here.

Probably not, but Margo's a perfect patsy to get another belt at another weight. He was little value at 147 and probably couldn't make the weight any more. Plus the loss to Mosley was so emphatic and Mayweather took him apart completely. It wouldn't have played well at all.

Well they made it above 147 lbs so they could try and justify it being another weight class. 150lb weight limit for a title at 154 lbs. Pile of horse**** imo.

I agree. I've been deliberately not following the build up to this one as it turns my stomach thinking about it. This fight shits on all past and present light middle champions.:-(

It was the same farce for Cotto. Catchweights are a blight. If you can't fight at that weight, don't do it - up or down.

Yep, and Tony was nowhere near being a contender ever at 154 for a title....Yet, Pacquiao could snag the 154 WBC strap against Tony:huh

I don't really think the weight is an issue, Marg has all the advantages there anyway. It's more the fact these two shouldn't be anywhere near a title at junior middle regardless.

The size of Pacquiao's legs! Seriousl power ... Although Pac's come in fairly light he's all compact muscle.

All titles are completely meaningless. This is a catchweight fight, they used to do them all the time in the glory days, just without a useless bauble at stake.

The daft thing is that it's them that are losing out financially by having the title at stake

Pac is going nowhere with legs like that; Floyd will never fight him, he's leagues above everyone competing at the present time.

Sanctioning fees are a joke. It's all so they can make him more marketable for his NEXT fight, 'ten weight world champ' or whatnot:patsch:lol:
