What examples are there of fighters with high level talent who were in tremendous physical/mental condition that couldn't take a punch? Personally, I feel like people who bash Khan's chin are extremely ignorant to the fact that he was 20-22 years old, fighting live opponents, and he wasn't close to the physical/mental condition he is now. Anyways, ya...Any examples of fighters who had tremendous talent, were in great physical condition, but couldn't take punches? Please use logic, not ******ed diatrabes. Thread will be interesting to read that way.
Khan does not have a glass chin. Lewis was knocked out cold by Rahman, not a TKO, he was knocked out cold. McCall stopped Lewis also.
Wasn't lewis not in standard peak physical condition for those fights? I feel like how prepared you are in training camp, physically, and mentally has a tremendous effect on one's theoretical chin.

Khan has talent in abundance yet he will always suffer from shakey whiskers but with roache's help he seems to have tightened up his defence and i think he can go a long way. Watching clips of him sparring with manny was really impressive imo
At the most elite level Hearns is a guy who had all the tools in the world but his chin lacked that little something that would have kept him undefeated. If you weren't an all time great or a great puncher you had no chance against him. I feel like his chin is much much sturdier than Khan's, it took sugar ray like 14 rounds of breaking down and digging deep to really crack him, and Prescott did it with one punch against khan. Zab has talent but can't keep it together. Even when he is not hurt the hits make his style just fall apart, he does not handle the pressure of the ring well. I feel like Khan has a weaker chin than just about everybody at his level. That shot would have bounced off Mosley and it completely shut Khan down neurologically. A really bad ko and I think it shows a physical inability to take perfect shots. And at the heavyweight level it really does not give a good indication when somebody gets knocked out they have glass chins, some of those guys are simply huge murderous punchers and it is inevitable that the body will shut down when a shot from them lands perfectly. Guys like Hagler and Hopkins are the polar opposite, perhaps lacking one or two of the raw physical attributes like extreme speed but making up for it with solid technique and incredible, unbelievable toughness on top of it. Khan will always be susceptible to that, judging from the way a small and fat and completely outgunned Barrera was able to push him back at times with shots.
