Why are people so angry about that fight?

Didnt anyone see Klitschko vs Kevin Johnson?

    what about Klitscko vs Briggs?

    What about Klitschko vs Chambers?

    what about Klitschko vs Ibragamov?

all those fights were absoloute garbage, I don't see why this one is being singled out so much, other than an irrational hatred of David Haye.

Because Haye claimed to be different, the saviour of the division etc etc.

Yep it's because Haye claimed to be different yet he's done the exact same if not worse. At least Chambers, Arreola etc were genuine contenders in the division. Everyone knew Harrison was a joke. Haye and Adam Booth even admitted that before signing for this fight. Not that you can blame them too much because the fight sold but you''d have hoped they would have known better and rised above pointless fight likes this as they said they would.

I'm angry that newspapers and other media sources other than sky sports have helped to sell this fight. Apart from lining the pockes of Haye, Audley Harrison and Eddie Hearn and few others, it's damaged boxing in the long term and I hope Haye gets pummelled against Wlad now if he ever decides to fight him again.

He took Audley out in the 3rd round, thats early enough, hes a counterpuncher, audley wasn't giving anything to counter so haye started slow, then demolished harrison as soon as he opened up in the 3rd.

Klitschko-Harrison would have been much worse than that.

I didn't see the event so I can't comment but everyone agrees it was a stinker so I'll accept that it was.

What have the Klit fights got to do with Haye v Harrison?

The reason people are are discussing it is because it happened tonight. :patsch You know, people kinda like to discuss current fights here? Sounds mad, I know, but thats how it works around here!

Regarding irrational hatred of David Haye. There is plenty of rational reasons to hate David Haye. In fact a much better argument could be made for the opposite, "irrational admiration of David Haye." That is a much more apt sentence.

If Audley atleast threw some punches and tried to engage , then maybe people would be less upset.

Its just frustration.Im sure Wlad will come in for the same abuse after the Chisora farce.People are sick of fights like last nights.Haye and the brothers need to get a fight sorted.

Let's see..Haye/Harrison was an all British fight, therefore people's feeling will be stronger.

Haye/Harrison got mainstream attention in the UK and in the end let boxing down. The amount of people that watched the fight tonight probably dwarfs the UK audience of all the above fights combined.

The Klits get a LOT of ****, you just haven't been here long enough. Johnson and Briggs were pathetic fights and were derided by all on here. Chambers and Ibragimov, however, were credible challengers. They were at least deserving of their shots (Iggy was a unification fight). Audley was not deserving of his shot but he has a name and can sell a fight.

Trust me, there is not "an irrational hatred of David Haye" on the British forum. He is a fighter most on here respect or at least used to respect. If you go back a year he was the most admired British fighter on here. He was the model British pro, taking on all comers and not shirking from any challenge.

However, his antics at heavyweight have left a lot of people disappointed. People don't want to wait for the Klit fights, if you ask most forumers those fights should already have happened by now. Haye talked a lot when he moved up and for a lot of people he hasn't backed up the talk. Once he fights the Klits all will be forgiven.

It wasnt the best heavyweight fight in recent years, but ive seen worse.

Johnson-Klitschko was like the first 2 rounds of Haye-Harrison for 12 rounds.

no-one complained about vitali taking that fight, because Johnson had an impressive win over olympic failure devon vargas.

It wasnt a good fight, but the villification from haye is going too far.

It wouldn't but if Haye's gonna retire next year then what's the point anyway? Fights like this make me wonder why I give a toss about boxing in the first place. I ain't giving up yet but if a fight against Wlad doesn't happen next then I genuinely hope Haye gets battered next time he steps into a boxing ring. And I hope next time the general public aren't as stupid and as gullible as they were this time. I doubt that as well though.

The Klitschkos can fight guys like Johnson and Briggs because they've cleaned out the division and are avoided by guys like Haye, Povetkin, Valuev. Chambers and Ibragimov were both credible opponents, but overmatched by a fighter lots of posters here have in their top 20 ATG heavyweight lists

Also, both Klitschkos are a lot more active than Haye. Another reason they can afford stay busy fights like Briggs and Chisora. If Povetkin hadn't backed out of the Wlad fight, then Wlad would aleady have beaten two top 5 heavyweights this year- which is more than Haye has done in his career

Johnsons ambitions were to last 12 rounds. Audleys supposed ambition was to win the fight.

Johnson was getting caught in the first round, then he shut up shop. That fight at least had the intrigue as to whether johnsons defence could be opened.

Harrison never even got to that stage. That is why its worse.
