If that fight was in any way fixed or staged, the last thing Haye would do would be to talk about betting on it.

After such a one sided mismatch, Haye is an idiot for even mentioning that he 'told people to bet on a 3rd round stoppage'. The fight wasn't 'fixed' as such. It was just a complete mismatch that boxing fans around the world laughed off then ignored. As a boxing fan, I'm ashamed at the publicity that this fight has attracted and it has no doubt done damage to boxing's reputation in the long run. At least we're highly unlikely to see Audley Harrison box again.

I was very disappointed when Haye signed this mismatch of a fight. The media hype was just silly and you could say damn right lies to sucker in the PPV buys.

Margarito should employ Sky to do his PR, beacause now I find myself desperate for that fight so I can see something substantial between two proper fighters. Unfortunately for British boxing the casual fans won't feel the same and have already ****ed off.

Yeah but he ****ed them up and didn't finish which is the most damaging. It was NOT fixed. No one would take those punches from someone like Haye for a bit of cash.

He's grabbed a huge nail and struck it in the coffin of British boxing.

No but the shítty wrestling like grudge match angle didn't help. We knew they were mates, Haye has admitted they are mates and this sort of shít devalues real grudge matches. "Best of enemies", fúck off.
"Best mate giving mate a payday" is more accurate.
