In the Cotto fight, Pacquiao looked at the referee several times in the 10th and 11th rounds, if I'm not mistaken, to see if he was going to stop the fight. He did the same last night against Margarito.

Both Cotto and Margarito refused to give up, so he had no choice but to fight on. Still, even in the heat of battle, Pac was still aware of his opponents' condition.

Believe me, we were all yelling for Margarito's head as karmic justice for all of his insults and threats. But Pac has a greater sense of honor and compassion than most of us fans. And for that, he is even greater as a person than as a fighter.

POST FIGHT HIGH ALERT. I not mad at you guys though with the same avatars. It makes alot of sense. How about Manny actually beats a counter puncher with speed then we can perhaps bump this thread when that and hell freezes over occurs.:D

He is one of the P4P ATG now.

But the greatest? Hmmn...I think a stronger case could be made for Pac if he beat JMM in a more clear and definitive manner.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that Manny only fights come forward brawlers with **** poor defense and has followers that all have the same avatar whom I can't even tell apart.:smoke

Would have been a slick, black defensive genius if only it wasn't vacation time. No need to tell us apart, we school *****s exactly the same way. :p

i think we forget how small manny is- and take it for granted. margarito may have had his aura shattered by mosley- but mosley is a natural welter- or super welter- with big power, manny is a little guy- and it takes so much more skill for a guy that size to beat a big guy, any world class big guy. hes an all time great for sure- where he ranks exactly hasnt been defined yet- because neither he nor floyd havent fought the best competition of their eras- each other. they ll define each other in the end- if they fight to a standtill they ll both be enhanced- and both perhaps be top 25 all time. if one dominates the other- he ll ascend to rare air- with the durans , leonards and lopez's of pound for pound greatness. both of their careers to me are unfinished- beacuse all the greats fought the best in their era, both these guys have yet to fight each other- and that will be the one single fight , or mutliple fights- that will have the greatest bearing on their final standing more so than all the other fights combined. that once matchup will determine where they stand- theyre both top 50 already- but a win for either would place them in the greatness pantheon, and set it in stone.

  11. you must have been drunk when u wrote that garbage. its so obvious to anyone with a half brain that pacman hits infinitely harder than mayweather. why cant u see that? u think floyd would have knocked out granite chin margarito? youre out of your mind. in his last 6 fights floyd has knocked out only one of his opponents and that was the very limited ricky hatton. in contrast, manny has knocked out 3 of his last six and battered one into submission. clottey was in survival mode from the beginning and margarito's face looked like a halloween mask after 12 rounds. how do u figure floyd would have knocked out margarito when he couldnt even ko little juan manuel marquez? floyd will never step into the ring with pacquiao because he doesnt have the heart. he doesnt have the balls. manny would knock that punk out in less than 6. he's too fast and too strong.

:yepIt's all good. I still love to watch Manny . Last nights fight was the **** no doubt. I loved the degression of Margarito's face which coincidentally was busted up like Cottos. I felt they should've stopped the fight though. Margarito lost alot of brain cells . I respect the warrior attitude but if he continues his career he should really broaden his game and incorporate DEFENSE!!!!!!!
