How anyone who has ever seen Audley fight in the past bought the media spin, then they have only themselves to blame. But I cannot blame Haye for taking the fight, he has in turn made a nice bundle for himself, whilst getting boxing back on the back page.

There is no such thing as negative publicity.

If/when a fight is made against the Klitschko's, it will be massive as a result, with Haye being the main draw.

You can't blame Buncey, for hyping this fight. As lets face it, everyone was looking forward to it. It is just some of us, were not stupid enough to pay for it, and either watched a stream or saw it down the pub.

Steve is Haye's chief bumsniffer it seems. When Haye isn't the topic of conversation he's excellent IMO, but he goes all goggly eyed with Haye for some reason.

Likewise with Harrison, he gives him a lot less grief than he's given other fighters.

Read this article by Colin Hart, written nearly 7 years ago.....

Plenty of people feel scammed and rightly so. The only saving grace is that they were all able to win a few quid and have a few beers next weekend courtesy of the whole sorry episode.

Dumb British fans get exactly what they deserve. This isn't any different anywhere else. Ever wonder why Ottke, Sturm etc. get away with boxing total bums in Germany but are cheered and revered as superstars? It's the same sh** everywhere.

If you allow yourself to be ripped off and played for a sucker then that's exactly what the promoters, boxers and media will do. As long as naive fans allow let them get away with it they will do it over and over and over again.

Why does anyone still listen to that idiot Bunce?

What's he gonna have to do to hammer that final nail in his credibility's coffin? Predict a first round KO for Floyd over Vitali?

I agree with you about the promotors and fighters being out for anything they can get but the media have less of a vested interest (except Sky of course) and they have a responsibility to the people who buy their papers or pay the TV license.

Remember Bunce is on the BBC payroll so everybody with a British TV license is partly contributing to Bunce's income. He is well meaning but I think he has been irresponsible in the way he hyped up this sham fight.

Bunceys enjoyable, but sells out equally

    - everybodies scared to publically pull this game apart, and it's sinking further and further with every passing few months or so.

Tell the truth, rebuild interest in the SPORT and it beautiful history and it will return - keep talking **** and it will truly die!

Agree. How many potential boxing fans did we lose last night. How many of the 1million PPV homes will watch the GB Championships today. For me its a hugley damaging night for British boxing!

You should've heard Bunce discussing the various odds during his last william Hill podcast.

    What an absolute plonker.

You cant blame buncey though i`ll be interested to see his take on the fight.
Is it legal for boxers to bet on themselves to win and in which round then.

Give Bunce a break. Is this the 1st time a fight hasn't lived up to expectations?
Bunce gets excited about any heavyweight title fights involving a brit.

You guys make me laugh, you moan that you cant discuss boxing with your peers in depth enough apart from ESB, the journalists realise the oppurtunity to make the fight more interesting and have more reputation to enhanc their career and then blame them when the fighters do not perform.

    Fools you are.
