Sky have hyped this to the max and made it seem like 50/50 fight hopefully alot will be sold, the more casual non boxing fans this gets to the better for the sport and its continuing lifeblood. Maybe one day a young kid watching will gain inspiration and become good fighter. My guesstimate for this ppv is between 700,000 - 900,000
we will never find out the actual amount so a bit pointless. I reckon it will be higher than the Valuev fight, just below a million. which means allot of un satisfied customers. it makes you wonder why sky don't invest more in UK and US fights. Surely if they has shown Froch vs Taylor/Dirrell/Kessler/AA and he got the final against Ward they could of made it a a big PPV. How much bigger would Haye have been if the Mormeck fight got the Sky build up. Maidana, Bradley, Alexander, Cloud, Dawson, Pascal could all be future Cleverly and Khan opponents on PPV, surely it is worth showing there fights to.
How so you have just made a contradiction,you say that it will do just below a million but more than the valuev fight. that means you know the ppv sales for that fight even though you sai we will never know. I agree with the last paragraph.
The fight got 4.17 million viewers in Germany, 18.6% market share. It was a bit more successful than Chagaev vs Meehan which had a market share of 17.6% and television audience of 3 million. Vitali vs Briggs got 13.3 million and 57.2% last month.
Two British fighters on German TV getting that much is not bad. And Germany hosted the UFC last night as well, didn't they? What did the German pundits make of it? Is there a lot of people asking for Haye vs either of the Klits?
L i should have a put a bet on too. I predicted a 3rd round tko from haye though really i hope i was wrong and audley came and ktfo haye because haye bacled out of the klit fight
