I think this statement by Alex Ariza deserves some discussion.

"Believe me, you don't think I want to jack Manny up, and put... you know give him one of those super fuels and all that kind of ****....":patsch

At 1:17 of the video! :think:think
He is admitting that he does have the desire to give Manny **** and jack him up.:think He WANTS to do it!:think

It was a flippant remark about giving his fighter a boost. Nothing more.

The following quote was about boxing being a level playground that he sticks to. I guess that doesn't fit your agenda.

I have no agenda. I'm just wondering why he would say something like that in a Freudian kind of way. Really though, who says **** like that? No matter what point he is trying to make. Why would he say, "You don't think I want to jack Manny up...":huh Especially considering all the talk about his "substances/supplements" to begin with.

I took some intro Psychology courses in college, and believe me that statement is LOADED!

nah. you just totally took what he said out of context and twisted it around to suit your agenda. i also took some psych courses in college. what you're doing is called spin which psychologists can do in relation to PR and marketing.

If you have no agenda, then why take the quote out of context? Why didn't you put his next comments in your thread about Ariza sticking to the rules?

If Ariza wants to cheat, that's not a problem. If he tries to cheat, it is.

I agree that the quote doesn't sound good as a soundbite, but you have to be realistic about what his comments actually are. There is no story.

I did not go any further with the psychological analysis of his statement because my knowledge on the subject is minimal. However, I do have enough exposure to know that the statement made by Ariza has far greater and deeper meaning psychologically than I am able to explain.

    For example:

If I take an intro to human anatomy class, and you walk by me with a limp, I would have had enough exposure to anatomy to tell someone that there is something wrong with your leg, and I could probably identify which leg. But I could not definitively identify exactly what is wrong with your leg. It could be your hip, knee, ankle, shin, or foot. To do that would require more expertise and a greater understanding of anatomy and the mechanics of the legs/joints etc.

I'm just stating what to me is obvious, Ariza's statement raises many questions, and is psychologically loaded.:good

His fighter is naturally the smaller man these days....you don't think that Ariza would like a more level playing field?

you took a partial, incomplete quote and twisted it around to make it look like ariza wanted to "jack up" pac. but if you continue and finish his whole quote, he was definitely in favor of sticking to the rules.

the whole interview was actually about margarito possibly taking a banned PED stimulant before the fight. it was least about that partial, incomplete, out of context quote that you tried to spin here.

I can see where it may seem as if I'm trying to spin his quote, but even in the full context of his statement this quote is very thought provoking.

Who says something like this?:huh And what makes it worse its Alex Ariza.

c'mon man... you're the one with the floyd avatar here. is that you w/ him?

you certainly have an agenda here since all these unfounded PED allegations against pac started from the mayweathers whom you are obviously a fan of.
