You don't buy Mayweather's win over Judah either then.

Louis was 36 years old when he fought Charles in 1950. He retired in 44 and he came back two years later cause of money problems not only that but in the four years previous to his defeat to Charles he only fought 4 times in 4 years, that was far from peak Louis.

But i agree that Charles has one the best resumes of all time and much better than anyone around today.

Duran fought in basically a single belt, single division era. Wasn't a time when guys just went up and down chasing opponents. You just owned divisions.

Out of interest though, I'd probably go

    1: Leonard
    2: De Jesus 2
    3: Ken Buchanon
    4: De Jesus 3
5: Barkley (winning a middleweight title, pushing 40, was miraculous)

Zab wasn't losing to David Diaz and Zahir Rahman in between Pacquiao beating him.

But, in truth, I rank Judah and Morales about the same sort of standard

    Man, not peak physically

But arguing Joe Louis wasn't at his very best, when Charles beat him, is a bit unfair.

Ali wasn't at his highest level when Joe Frazier beat him. Still was the first guy to put him away

Louis was 14 years unbeaten when Charles beat him. Would be the equivilant of Manny beating Floyd this year

    Is Floyd peak at 34?

Marvin Hagler hadnt lost in 11 years when Leonard beat him does that mean he beat Hagler at his best?

Louis was a good win for Charles but saying that he beat a peak louis is a blatant lie.

The thing is Pacquiao has more depth than most ATGs outside his top 5.

I agree fully with you. I love Floyd but he isn't a top 15 fighter and Manny isn't either. It made me sick hearing people compare Manny to Sugar Ray Leonard's resume

Good list of Pacs achievements but the reason he doesnt crack the top 20.
I might get called a hater but im just telling facts.

Number 2 3 and 4 were fighting weight along with Pac.
    2. Cotto was at 145 not 147. Cotto was known for struggling with weight even at 147.
    3. Morales was also struggling with weight and wanted the fight at 135 but team Pac said no. Look at a picture of the weigh in where he looked like a skeleton.
    4. DLH hadnt fought at WW for 10 years along with being a part time fighter.

Now to the rest of the fights.
    5. Great fight but come on even his country men felt he lost.

    12. Morales 3 come on man. Morales was shot and once again weight drained. The fight again was at 130 even though the last time it showed he was weight drained. Morales asked for 135 again and was told no. Arum basically ****ed Morales over to get Pac the new upcoming fighter the advantage.

A victim of living in different eras. How many established ATG's have been around for Pacquiao or Mayweather to fight? Those established ATG's are there because their best wins included victories over other established ATG's.

This is completely ignoring relative weights though.

Or if you want to play that game, Roberto Duran was what, #6 on their all time list? If Pacquiao were to beat the Martinez-Williams winner in his next fight, his resume would compare pretty damn favorably to Duran's.

Ezzard Charles has a great resume and should rank higher than Pacquiao.

However, Pacquiao is very close to Muhammad Ali, Roberto Duran, Ray Leonard, Mickey Walker, Willie Pep, etc, in the lower part of the top10.
