Amir Khan gets the nod over Gamboa because his frame will allow him to comfortably move up 2 divisions and still be dominant whereas Gamboa is already very muscular at 126 so he'll probably need to stay there...or 130 at the most. I really don't see him carrying his power up to 135.
the top choices before were cotto, mijares and pavlik it's going to be either Pac or Floyd. btw, who's the P4P #1 that time? Was it Pac?
ill take khan. his frame supports moving up in weight divisions, plus he has skills, speed and power. all elements for a top p4p ranking. and in three years time, i bet scientists would already have found a cure for glass chins.
Been wondering that too.. I was on another forum with the whole crew for a while but it died out.. I know Amst can't stay away from boxing discussions so he has to be here. I have a few guesses.
holy jesus, was looking at the beginning of this thread and was thinking WTF!?!?! Then i saw the dates.... OHHHHH 3 years from NOW? Andre Ward or David Lemieux 4-5yrs? Jose Benavidez jr. (Remember, i called this FIRST!!!)
i would guess that it would still be pacquiao by july of 2011, three years after this thread was started. pacquiao now has widened his gap from floyd in the p4p list that even if pac took a long vacation and fight at the end of next year, floyd won't even surpass him unless he has the urge to fight and beat pacquiao. as i can see, floyd will take another tune-up and will wait until pac retires or slows down.
so the forum now ceased to exist? i think it's a good forum with all the old timers and was surprised that they welcomed pacdbest and are now respecting his opinion much better than when theya re here in ESB. shoot your name. my hunch is NALLEGE. NALLEGE is a knowledgeable poster and would pop up some no-nonsense thread and discussions about fights. but he is seen by many as a troll because he started as one and will continue to do so in 95% of his posts.
