Forget about rumors and all this crap on this message board.

Based on your gut instincts, do you think this fight will happen?

Of course it will. All the posturing going on is just part of the normal process with these two hard-nose negotiaters.

Hopkins is going to expose Calzaghe for what he is--a *****!

I don't think Hopkins wants this fight. He wouldn't enjoy it very much if it did happen.

He needs neither the money or the glory and would could quite feasably take a beating from a younger (and imo better) fighter.

For the guys that say he's ducking, why on Earth do you think a smart and calculating guy like Hopkins would specifically call out Joe C after his Wright fight?

He's a prideful man. And if he went back on his words, it would make him look foolish and i know he doesn't want to do that. So why would he call Joe C out if he didn't plan on fighting him? I don't get it.

Because all the blame if this fight has to go on Bernard...Calzaghe is angel in their eyes, and can do no wrong.

Remember, these are the same people who, after Calzaghe stated in the lead up to the Manfredo fight that he wanted a big name, for big money in the US. And after Hopkins calls him out saying come fight me in Yankee Stadium. And after Joe says ok, lets do it, and that he will fight him anywhere. Then when the fight was offered in the US, it was Bernards way of ducking him.

Makes total sense....if you have an IQ of 17.
