Corrie Sanders is scheduled for a match on February 2nd against a 'bum' boxer in his own right, Osborne Machimana. My view on Sanders, is that he is one of those naturaly powerful people, not too athletic and not a professional boxer in the art of boxing, just brute force. He can take punches and he can give punches, a danger to all that are uncareful. Do you feel that he can still do some damage in the division? And what will be the outcome of this fight. Prediction: Sanders KO 3.
If he got off his fat arse and got into tip top shape I think he could still beat alot of top contenders. He's a real beast.. just sad that he wasted his prime.
He had his brightest moment against Wlad...too bad, that win showed his potential. He will go nowhere now.
Should have gone to the States when his countryman Fransie Botha went ---cause he had the skills----very dangerous in the 1st 3 rounds----topclass counterpuncher with ko power---ask AL Cole 1st rnd. Wlad 2nd rnd. Rahman---all over the place 1st 3rnds.
:verysad Added major factor was he was a southpaw--check his resume 45 --won 42---ko + kot 31 -losses 3----what a pity :verysad :verysad :verysad
Exactly. Sanders' time is past. He can knock out stiffs still, but that's about it. ANY decent HW would beat him now. The best he could hope for is to string together a few wins and then get knocked out by Wlad for some big bucks.
I think he's 41 or 42 now. I don't see him being very effective past the third or fourth round, but he can possibly beat good enough opposition to get him another big fight. I think he may still have his ace card, his win over Wlad, as his hope to get one more big payday. But I am not sure how much of a demand there would be for a Wlad rematch, cause Wlad is improved, and Sanders has been inactive, and is early 40s, now. I also think the Brewster rematch being a onesided beating may have also taken some of the interest out of Wlad Sanders II. Most people probably think it would be about the same thing as Brewster's rematch with Wlad. And it probably would.
