So in your reasoning Froch would have to put on 38lbs to fight Haye. Not so much catchweight as it is suicide that 1.
Carl Froch fights at 168..? he prob comes to the ring at 174 pounds. He has to gain 16 pounds, WHOA big deal. David Haye has to come down from 211 to 190, thats 21 pounds. David Haye would spark him out..!!
Of course he would Haye MIGHT be the biggest puncher in the world right now. But just forget about the huge weight difference and the titles they have won in their divisions and remember the level of talent they have faced.... Id be confident that Froch beats Abraham and quite possibly Ward, then move up and face the best up at light heavy and do quite well. Thats the difference its the level of comp and the quality of the divisions they are fighting in.
Easy in one way, because Harrison was known, but even casual fans knew he was ****. Imagine if Sky put that much effort in one of Froch's fights, where he's facing a top opponent in what's going to be an entertaining competitive scrap. Imagine if we had loads of ads over Sky channels, and big build up on Sky News and special build up shows, it would educate people pretty quick. I would love to have casual fans come up to talk to me about a genuine top fight like this, instead of asking me what I thought about ****in Harrison/Haye. And when people got value for money in the end they would come back again, and the industry would grow. But Sky don't do this, and they're ****ing the whole thing up.
i remember hearing froch talk about their sparring as england team mates and he said he could hardly catch haye, this was when haye was a skinny beanpole with a **** bumfluff moustache of course every aspiring british boxer should look up to froch, this guy epitomises dedication and hard work. are you watching kevin mitchell???
:deal PK, ya thread is cool, yeah that thread but you have no argument here and such talk is just ridiculous and uncalled for.
I'm just saying... David Haye would spark out Carl Froch, if they fought at a catchweight of 190pounds.........David Haye would spark him out. David Haye is the best fighter we have.
Maybe so, but he's also annpying cos he wont take the Klits, Froch fights whoever is put in front of him. Froch - Kessler, Froch - Pascal, Froch - Taylor...all worth more than £14.95 for that piece of **** Haye - Harrison.
I remember reading that (they were interviewed together in BN or BM i think?), they were laughing about Froch's nose and how Haye was always catching him "on the beak"
