Alright! Let's have it! How could Hopkins POSSIBLY beat Joe?

I don't think he can. But to be fair, different fighters you know. Who knows, he might pull off a miraculous performance and surprise everyone again. See Tito...See Tarver.....noone really thought he would win those, or at least dominate them like he did.

Calzaghe has many flaws in his style like looping, reaching etc. If Hopkins can catalogue those flaws and find ways to exploit them, he has a chance. Personally, I think he is too old.

 

Really, Joe has faster handspeed, faster footspeed, fantastic head & body movement, is a master of distance and timing, his equal as far as general ringcraft is concerned and has no physical disadvantages going in to this fight. There is a reason why Hopkins hasn't fought many genuine smws or lhws because he knows he'd get his ass-handed to him. Hell, I'd pick Kessler to K.O. Hopkins at this point.:bbb

 

How could Hopkins beat Joe? Get a time machine and set it to 2000.

Yeah, I think you are right. People forget that when Hopkins began his career he was a very mediocre figther. It only because of an extraordinary discipline in training and dedication to his profession that he has become a great boxer. He never had the kind of talent that Roy Jones and Joe Calzaghe were born with.

 

BHOP is a tough and talented muthfukka but so is Joe and I'd give Joe the edge if a fight was made. It wouldnt be cut and dried either way like too many people try to claim.

But personally I think Joe has that bit extra that would get him a points win.

Joe would be busier and would land more in my opinion, and he got a great chin too.
