Robert Stieglitz vs. Enrique Ornelas RBR

Round 7

Stieglitz with a three punch combo. Ornelas is trying to punch his way in and getting his head trapped in Stieglitz's armpit. NICE hook from Ornelas after missing a 1-2. Clubbing overhand right lands for Ornelas. Stieglitz is the one backing up now. NICE COMBO from Ornelas!!! Stieglitz is in trouble and holds on. Ornelas coming on with very strong punching now. Stieglitz is shrinking under the heavy hands of Ornelas. Stieglitz tries to jab him off but it doesn't work. UPHOOKS! RIGHT CROSSES! Ornelas landing quite a bit! Ornelas is just patiently lining up power punches and putting everything into them. Stieglitz is staying relatively close, probably unwise. Ornelas puts together combos from the body to the head. Stieglitz keeps backing up and has a jab countered with a hard right

Round 8

Stieglitz looks to have recovered. The jab is holding Ornelas off a bit. Ornelas rips him with a big lead right! He lands a pair of left hooks a moment later. Stieglitz pretty much limiting his own offense to the jab. Ornelas lands his 1-2. Ornelas looking calm and sharp. Stieglitz is bleeding. BIG left hook by Ornelas. Stieglitz tries to crouch down and rush Ornelas into the ropes and they get their arms jammed together. It stays ugly until the bell.

10-9 Ornelas, he's seized momentum.

 

Round 9

Ornelas is still pressing the action. A leaping uppercut lands for Ornelas. Stieglitz tries to drive him back with the 1-2. Ornelas is tossing straight punches at him but Stieglitz blocks and outlands Ornelas a bit down the stretch.

 

Round 10

They get in close and both have little room to operate with their forearms pressed together, both throwing short little punches. Stieglitz out-jabs Ornelas. Stieglitz is missing his power punches on the outside, however. Ornelas lands a right and then a left hook walking in. Stieglitz lands a long combo that almost gets Ornelas in a corner. They trade good punches and then come together and rest their heads on each other's shoulders.

Ornelas landed a very nice uppercut but overall Stieglitz did the better work.

2nd round in a row for Stieglitz, he's up 8-2

 

Round 11

They slow the pace a bit and trade jabs until Stieglitz lands a huge bomb of a right. Now Stieglitz pushes Ornelas up against the ropes as in the early rounds, and lands hard stuff. Ornelas starts moving his head as Stieglitz just flicks his hands out aimlessly, missing on his own even when Ornelas isn't actively slipping. They clinch up and Stieglitz bashes his way free with a hard combo. Ornelas is hurt and holds on! Stieglitz backs him up but Ornelas looks OK. He jabs in and Stieglitz counters him with a right and hurts him!!

He needs to worry about possibly getting knocked out himself in the 12th.
