Pacquiao targets the big pulpy-looking bruise of Margarito (right cheek). Margarito is throwing lots of short arm punches but Pacquiao is too fluid in his movement (head and feet) and too tight in his defense between his own flurries to take any really hard clean shots. The only thing getting through well for Margarito is the piercing right jab thrust down between Pac's gloves and it gets a little blood flowing from Pac's upper lip. They trade some leather down the stretch and Pac is just so much faster.

My opening post was "coming up after the Pac-Marg replay" which would help assuage a lot of the confusion (since a lot of people tend to look just at the first post before replying).

Round 9

Pacquiao is getting nailed with some long right hands now, and is keeping his hands a bit lower - maybe tiring just slightly. Margarito keeps him at bay with a steady flow of rights. Pacquiao is still stopping to dig his heels in and pop off combos but is mostly worrying about staying on the lateral move and trying not to get his head snapped with the Margarito right.
