Lucky punch my ass. **** you idiots. And PW does not have a glass chin. Anyone would get KTFO from a punch luck that. Very similar to Pac/Hatton. Paul's weight was moving forward right into that monster shot. The fact that he didn't see it coming made it 100x worse.
I jump so high and scream so loud my wife just said to hera visitng friends:he is watching boxing, but little did she know,i was witnessing a murdeous left hook.....my goosssnessss!!!!
Seconded. The only one lucky was Williams. Lucky he didn't get iced like that in the first round, considering the leather he was eating.
martinez has been landing that punch since the first fight williams with his horrible defense it was bound to happen sooner or later thank god it was sooner :rofl
wow, this fight had a different ending than everyone though lol.... personally i figured Martinez would win a definitive UD, i figured he'd outclass and counter-punch Williams too much The difference with this fight was Martinez was really LOADING up his punches, they were a bit slower than before BUT alot heavier and more damaging when landing. He proved he STILL can time Williams with even a slower punch (as he timed Williams all thru the mid/late rounds thru the 1st fight). Timed, over-committed Left hook that 1-shotted a fighter whose known to have a solid chin.... On the replay, their positioning/angling's what contributed to the success of the punch. Both fighters throwing, Martinez leaning far to his right to over-torque his left hook. Because he was leaning so far to the right, WIlliams was focused on his head to hit it and the left hook was NOT IN HIS PERIPHERAL VISION, lol... Williams said he didnt see the punch in the post-interview
Williams was to open and aggresive Maravilla was trhowing punches with meaning every chance he got... Martinez was searching for it and it was bound to happen. Williams need better defense and to utilize his height and reach he was lunging in like a Tyson or something.. Sorry guys but this was no lucky shot.
Lucky shot? No way, Martinez was landing that punch in the first round, he just put all his power behind it in the second. If you watch his previous fights he loves throwing the overhand left, while he leans down. Martinez deserves all the credit.
