It was a percentage shot. It was lucky in a sense that it landed as it did. It was a good bet to make considering how Williams fought. That is actually the skill.

    Great observation. :deal

There was no luck here. Sergio still had Williams timed from the first fight. He took full advantage of one of the many openings he was going to get tonight and knew Williams was gone as soon as he landed. Game over.

Not at all. He was timing that shot from the beginning of the round. He landed a perfect left hook as Williams was coming in right before Williams connected with that combo.

I hope you don't actually believe it was a lucky shot, for your sake.

Hell no. Martinez threw that shot three times. Damn near in a row. Each time it was damned close to landing. Third time was the charm.

The shot he got hit with reminds me of the shot roy jones took when he got knocked out by antonio tarver. Hopefully it won't have the same effect on williams and ruin the rest of his career there are still plenty of fights out the for him in which he can redeem himself.

you guys are missing the point.

of course martinez was gonna work that shot in. he trained for it.

i'm saying that he was lucky it KOed pwill. 99.9% of the time williams wouldn't get knocked out by that kind of punch. it had the optimal timing and optimal angle on his face.

This has to be one of the stupidest posts I have ever read.

It was lucky it knocked him out? What the **** ARE you smoking?? It was timed pretty much to perfection and that's what happens. Even if it had stunned Williams, Martinez would have been all over him.

Sorry, but if you leave your chin out and the other guy lands clean on your chin then you have every chance of finding yourself on your ass looking up at the lights.

Everlast (the new model) are even better puncher's gloves than Reyes, I am lead to believe. (Unless this is an even newer Reyes model I don't know about).
