I like Martinez, he has a class flashy style and I love him been the middleweight champ instead of Pavlik- but I think Pacman beats him. Anyone agree. Styles make fights and while I think he'd be dangerous I think Manny would match him for speed and out maneuvre him.

i think martinez is too long in the arms and his footwork is while not being as fast as pac, it coupled with the reach means imo he could keep it long and beat him like that. mannys beatin bigger guys that are there to hit, i dont think martinez would let him do that.

that being said, manny is a freak of nature and seeing martinez lying on the canvas around the 6th wouldnt surprise me at all

Imagine that though- this must be his alternative to the mayweather fight. I'm about sick of mayweathers bitching- i'm still just about a fan but his avoidance of pac is getting embarassing.

If Pac beat Martinez, he would be the greatest ever! I cannot see this fight happening.

Pac would win by robbery, the judges won't let Sergio win.

At a 148 catchweight no doubt. Im sure he could pull a few strings and get the middleweight title at that weight!

Only if martinez goes down in weight then yeah i agree.
If pac wants the mw title then fight it at that weight class.

This fight should happen at 156+, but we will probably see Pac in with Mosely or Williams. ****ing Arum

i'm not sure i want to see a former flyweight in with a genuine middleweight. i'd rather see pac clear out the welter and even lightwelterweight division.

how many more fights is he going to have btw?

I cannot see Pac fighting Martinez he is too big and dangerous. Pac did well to beat Margarito but it highlighted Pac's vulerability with a naturally bigger opponent. Pac is disadvantaging himself fighting middleweights - he should stay at Welter.

Manny couldn't handle Martinez' power. A bridge too far IMO

    Not sure, real difficult one.

I would say both have the tools to beat the other so it would be a cracking fight.

I think fmj v martinez at 154 would be more likely. Not that floyd is likely to take that risk either tho.

No way. Martinez is too long, he's actually pretty quick both in foot and hand speed compared to the other fighters pacs faced, he's also in his prime and is far too big.

Pac will lose. +it won't happen.

    Arum wouldnt make this fight.
The reason Pacs looked so good is he's been in with guys who lead with single shots, and dont get out of there to avoid the cluster of shots Pac returns at them.
IMO sharp moving punchers are Pacs nemesis. I think thats why Floyd beats him, and Martinez would have at least a pic em shot, and not the same rewards financially as a fight with Floyd.
I think youll see Pac v Mosely, then either a rematch with Cotto, or JMM at 147.
