We all know pac's are... So by default Manny should take the fight he is the Light Middle weight champion of the world... martinez has been fighting at 154 since he was 22 until 2009 then he moved up to face Williams and Pavlik for chamionships.

 

Martinez would stop Pac...no question in my mind. He got hit 229 x against Margarito...who is as slow as hell. If Margarito had that type of success, Martinez would pick him apart from the outside, then set him up for the KO.

Dude, that was a decade ago. Pacquiao was getting KD by jabs and KO'd by body shots, earlier in his career, by lesser fighters than a young Margarito. They have both improved, considerably, since those losses. What's your point?

 

If Pac could avoid any big shots from Sergio, he can make the fight very competitive and pull of a victory. Sergio Martinez, like Pac's previous opponents, has human eyes. He will see the same blur the others saw when figting Pac. Pac's speed, activity, stamina, power, footwork are all tools necessary to be victorious against bigger opponents. As we have seen recently, Pac can also take punches. I give Pac a 50/50 chance at beating Martinez. Sergio is also an inch shorter than Margarito, meaning Pac won't be hitting up as much.

Pac defense sucks big time. He absorb a good amount of punishment from a non boxing, wide swinging Margarito. Manny did whip Marg ass, but Marg didn't give him much of a choice, standing in front of him with no defense at all. Martinez on the other hand would be considered a slick style fighter, with a better defense and power then Marg. He would definitely give Pac problems. If this fight is made and they fight for Martinez title, Martinez should not allow Roach to dictate the fight.
