As a huge pacquiao fan all i can say is yes. Scumbag promotors is whats ruining boxing atm..

Arums plan atm it seems its to milk the cash cow dry. To bad really pacquiao is in his prime and should only fight other great fighters not world champions great fighters.. but wont happend arum got his dirty fingers in pacquiao and thats the way of the game

don't really care who's promoting the fights a long as we get compelling and relevant match-ups

Other promorters do that when they can, and it's costing the sport. And if Oscar had not left Top Rank years ago, believe me, Arum would be working with Oscar right now putting on fights.

It's not business really, it's more personal than anything else.

Nice post. Most die hard Pac fans defend Arum's scummy actions, but you seem at least to be able to see clearly.

I agree it does cost the sport to some degree.

I don't like it when promoters stay exclusive, but which fights did we get robbed of this year because of that?

Clottey and Margarito were all fine fights and Mayweather not wanting to fight has nothing to do with Golden Boy or Top Rank.

There is nothing wrong with Cotto vs Chavez or Margarito II.

If Arum was cloned and he had to fight himself, I would buy that in a heartbeat.

WHAT FIGHTS are we being denied of?

NOTHING. There is no one in GBP's stable that would have actually provided a good fight to Pacquiao. There's no one in Arum's stable either.

The Arum fights that Arum is preparing like the Marquez-Lopez, that happened under Arum's watch. He's going to give us Lopez-Guzman soon. Provided that Donaire wins against Sidorenko, that's going to be a Montiel-Donaire fight!

Just because Arum is doing in-house business, it doesn't mean that he's actually denying anyone anything.

BTW, he's also going to make a round robin in 130 because he controls all the majority of champions there, IIRC.

And a reminder, Sergio Martinez is not a GBP fighter. He's a Dibella guy.

I dont care if it's 2 Arum fighters, 2 goldenboys fighters or a Arum and a Goldenboy fighter going up against each other. As long as it's a good fight between 2 top fighters.

I will never pay for a Pac vs Top Rank catch weight fight.
