Martinez's shot was better than Pac's? Really?

This is true. If you still had your senses, your arms would automatically try to soften the impact when you fall down by trying to land on your arms. This is a involuntary reflex.

The way Hatton fell down was sweet. His arms didn't try to absorb the impact when he fell down and they were up when he was on the canvass.

I suppose PW also fell down like this. I did not notice before because PW was falling down in a prone position.

 

There are two questions that seems to confuse posters here that is why you get two varied responses.

The first one is who KOed the more credible or better fighter. Theanswer obviously is Martinez.

The next question is actually whose Ko look more impressive. I think pac's KO looks more impressive. True that hatton was down in the first but he was actually downed with the right hand and PAC set him up by countering him with the right. Then he set himup with the left. If youwatch the video, hatton's guard is actually up and the punch arrived a split second he lowered his right hand. Williams was starting to throw his left hook when martinez connected.

But no one is right or wrong in this debate. Both are equally devastating.

 

Martinez shot gets the nod for me. Knocking out Hatton is one thing. It was incredible and numbed me, but doing that to Paul Williams? Paul Williams has never come close to getting put down for a 10 count. To see him fold over like an accordion was unbelievable. Sent chills down my spine.

Martinez gets the nod but they are both about as brutal as one punch knockouts can really get.

 

I can't decide on the punches. They were both brutal and vicious looking KO's. I look at it from a different perspective. Who would I rather be when viewing the replays? Hatton or Williams. And even then it's hard to decide. Williams looked like that punch knocked his soul out of his body lol. Falling forward, and landing HARD face first on his neck like that looked pretty painful too... Especially for a guy his size. Then the fact that his eyes were open while he laid there added to the "holy **** factor".

And as for Hatton, its bad enough this guy got rocked and then ran face first into a turnbuckle WWF style by Mayweather. But against Pacquiao this guy took a coma style nap in the ring. He hit the ground soooo hard is arms flew back like he was doing situps and his head bounced a little.

Idk lol.... I can't call it.

 

The original looks more impressive than the copycat. Martinez should credit Pacquiao for showing him that move. He did mention they studied that punch in training.

 

Hatton also has a good chin and no one expected him to be knocked out the way he was. Both knockouts were shocking because no one expected to see that, even ones that picked Pac to win by stoppage expected a TKO.

 

Both were great shots. martinez had been working on that shot all through camp and you could tell.

The morons in the media calling at a lucky shot should stop talking boxing.

Martinez punch came a little more halfway of his full swing. Pac's swing came all the way from his back. Pac's definitely more devastating.

the fact that PWill had never been close to being starched out, the timber effect and the fact that he laid there with his eyes open, like something who had just been killed, all while being lights out gives the nod to Martinez, but its close.

 

Close, but I like Martinez' knockout of Williams.
