Loyalty is a 2 way street in boxing. Warrens the man with the connections & thats who he should have been with if he'd wanted the public high profile/adoration & respect he craves, no disrespect to fat mick but it's all about number 1 & mick is number 2. It's all about marketing & not sales, get the marketing right & the sales will follow. Yer need publicity be it good or bad just get yer face out there & the interest will follow, shame as Froch has got the persona to have done well for himself once exposed to mainstream public interest much as David Haye has excelled at being in front of the camera's. You've got to put out the Billy Big Bollocks for all to see & let them all know what yer got!

It's a shame, seeing how much bull**** attention that farce of a fight, Haye-Harrison got.

Is the December 11th bill even getting any attention? I doubt the casual fan knows anything about it.

Is Froch really getting that much more chedder being on a obscure PPV channel, then he would've got from ITV or any other channel with a bigger viewership?

Was a decent bit of coverage in the Daily Mail today, there boxing coverage is usually only found on their website though.

There was in the Mirror and the Mail.

I read the Mail boxing bit and it was pathetic. It said Abraham had Dirrell on the deck from a punch and then followed up with another. It also said the winner of Froch-Abraham will fight the winner of next weeks Green-Johnson fight.:patsch

And no I don't buy the mail, it was on the train.

Its tragic the lack of exposure Froch gets. He has everything going for himself to be a huge name, but it just hasn't happened.

Thats why Haye-Harrison was so big. Same as Khan. Every general sports fan watches sky sports news where its drummed into them every hour all the build up, pundits comments, all the countdowns etc. Allied to that Murdoch owns the Sun and a few other papers.

Primetime and premier are great sites for the true boxing fans but havent got the 24/7 mainstream exposure of Sky, hence why the demise of Setanta was such a huge kick in the nuts of us lot. If Hennessy and Sky had a deal, Froch would be a household name. But it is how it is, any true fan knows that Froch Abraham will be a classic....so all we can do is gloat at those who paid for the Fraudley show afterwards. Shame for Carl though, he deserves more recognition than Haye and Khan put together especially with his fan friendly style. Cest la vie.

Sadly an incredible match up like this has no attention and a farce like Gaye vs Fraudley gets attention.

Hennessey is a joke of a promoter at present. Its sad cos he had potential.

Fight promotion is a lost art. I hear stories of "promoters" in the states giving a bunch of tickets to their fighters and saying, "there, go sell them".

Exactly! the best way to create a fanbase, get an exciting fighter let the people in to see him work for nothing or next to nothing and bobs your uncle.

What Froch should do is go round football grounds and go on the pitch at half time, that'd get him recognition

It was interesting to hear in the build up to the Munroe fight that they still run things like that over in Japan.
