GBP: Floyd Just waiting For the Right Timing

What exactly does "when the timing is right" mean? It doesn't sound good.

It looks like the soonest this fight would happen now is next fall. That's too long to wait, and both are not getting any younger.

To say the words "decline more" you are inferring that the decline has begun...

They say he has hit his prime NOW.... He is at his prime.


So I don't understand this statement...

pac is at his prime he aint declining for a couple more fights maybe after 4-6 he has a lot left... NO signs of being diminished...

So I'm confused... if the waiting continues the one that is gonna be on decline will be Mayweather because of inactivity not PAC.

Floyd is the master of timing? Maybe up to DLH/Hatton, but after that he's been way off..maybe not in regards to his bank account or win-loss record, but it's done bugger all for his legacy.

His retirement led many to believe he blatantly ducked the best welters, and solidified his reputation as a ducker. Especially after coming back to fight a lightweight, which he got no credit for as well.

His retirement also led to the Pac-DLH bout, where Pac shocked the world and hasn't looked back, storming to FOTD honors and sure-fire ATG status.

Then Mayweather finally fights Mosley, when he is almost 40, and the win gets discredited, even though Floyd put in a masterful performance, bar that one round he got rocked. If he waits till Pac is older, the same thing will happen should he get the W.

The right time to fight Pac is now. Pac can't get any bigger, literally and figuratively.. Schaefer saying what he did only confirms what Mayweather's many critics believe, that he is waiting for Pac to show signs of decline or get beat up. That's a blatant duck no matter how you word it.

 

Ok - so in other words, he doesn't want to face PAC when he's in his prime.

 

I feel Pac peaked in 2008/2009, and that he is already declining as shown in his fights against Clottey and Margo. I also feel that WW is not his best weight class and that he was better at 135 and 140 than he has been at 147.

I never said Pac was not prime when he fought JMM in the rematch. I would never say that.

Marquez/Pac = draw and split decision + 4 knockdowns
-fought around a division where Marquez has been dominating with his entire career.

Marquez/Floyd= Unanimous Decision + 1 knockdown
-fought around a division where Marquez has not been tested and had to move up 2 divisions from his last fight.

Catchweights are made for fighters (who fight on different division) to meet halfway. Marquez/Floyd fought at catchweight where Marquez was asked to move up to Floyd's division. Way different from Pac/Dela Hoya where both guys had to meet halfway atleast. Well you don't want to compare the result against Floyd because it's not even close.
