Who is the Bigger draw, JMM or Margarito?

Marquez is an HOF lock, one of the greatest Mexican fighters of the past 20 years, and still a p4p high flyer, much beloved in his homeland and in the US for his two excellent performances vs the world's premiere fighter.

Not even a debate.

 

JMM was coming off two KO wins against Diaz and Casamayor and was the lightweight champion and P4P #2.

Margarito was coming off a destruction at the hands of Mosley, who himself was outclassed, a handwrap scandal, and a poor performance against a journeyman.

Obviously, Marquez was the bigger draw.

Pac vs Margo sold more because Pac is the biggest draw in the sport right now.

Margarito was very popular 3-4 years ago... Below JMM as he was a new face... the scandal made him less popular.

JMM has been in the game for a long time and definitely has a country behind him..


Pac fans will push MARGARITO for obvious reasons.

MArquez is a bigger draw, but Manny's fight with Margo was promoted better since they kept talking about the hand wrap issue and people gave Margo a shot and they thought PAc was retiring. Floyd didn't do his usual trash talk in the upcoming weeks to his fight

 

People gave Margo a shot? did you see the odds for that fight. People gave Marquez a bigger shot against Floyd than Margo against Pac.
