Di Bella already said Martinez will not fight the WBC interim champion. Zbik being this guy, he should become WBC champ pretty soon (once Sergio will have vacated it). David is due to fight Rubio in April to become Maravilla's mandatory (normally he would get a bout against him, but only AFTER the interim champ). The WBC could very well demand a clash between those two by the end of 2010 (which would allow Lemieux to fight some tough opponents in the meantime like Ishe Smith, Daniel Jacobs, etc.). And him fighting the German would certainly result in a dramatic first degree murder.:smoke Am I the only one who thinks like that? Is it plausible?:think Thoughts.
Lemiux would PROBABLY beat Zbik but the bottom line with Lemiux is that he has not fought anyone dangerous yet. While Zbik has not been making any noise he would still be a step up for Lemiux. Makes perfect sense. I think Lemiux should fight Pirog or N'kam next though. N'kam has a French following and Lemiux has French Canadian background so it could be held live either in Paris ot Montreal or Quebec!
Di Bella said since he's already 35, he'll be casing for the big money fights. Sergio wants to have 3 more fights, Lou said he'll push for 4. http://www.fanatique.ca/boxe/-david-lemieux-un-championnat-du-monde-a-portee-de-main+7607.html (in French)
He'd better not fall in love with his power and refine his overall tools, so when someone actually hits back, takes his shots and gives him a different look, he doesn't look like a fish out of water. I've seen that story to many times. This kids future looks good though. We need kids like him.
