ive been waiting to find out who lemieux's next fight was against...and it seems he will be fighting Purnell Gates, at first glance seeing his record i thaught ok, 18-1 with 13 ko.....not bad.....

wrong, lol...all his fights are against bums....so that would mean david lemieux is fighting another bum.....

Yup. His promoter needs him badly. At least, we know he'll fight Rubio somewhere in April. He just didn't needed this fight.

He is keeping busy. Nothing wrong with that...

If he was only fighting once or twice a year I would be pissed, but he is trying to get some rounds in.

He'll fight again in February, before the Rubio fight. I think nowadays a promising fighter must learn something in each fight. Don't thik Gates will learn something to Lemieux. You can think it's ok to have a stay busy fight, but people here who bought a ticket a few months ago may not think the same.

That's qhat I don't understand. If he fights in february, he'll have less than 8 weeks to prepare adequatly for Rubio in April. What's the need for a fight in february for Lemieux?

Don't know, but anyways Rubio should not be much of a problem.

Hopefully they can get a deal with Sugar She for February (pretty sure he would accept, it wouldn't be on a short notice and on FNF).

Well, at least it's not the main event... Demers St-Juste should be entertaining.

I have no problem with him fighting a bum on December, he'll have a pretty busy 2011.

Plus, now that Martinez has decided to vacate his title, DL will almost certainly be world champ next year (if everything goes well, of course).

    Zbik: :!:!!!!!!!

    A *****? And why the **** would he be a *****?

Because he was knocked out by Vera's elbow?

I'm not his biggest fan but I don't hate him either. And I always thought he was gutsy.

I think young David may be the real deal. I would hate to see his management push him to hard to soon.

No i think demers is a ***** because at his size, and no strength...a smart move for him would be to jump up in wieght and put some muscle on....he is fighting style i cant stand....a "play it safe" style....he never puts it all out and if he ever did, then that just shows how weak he is

and i too believe that lemieux is the real deal, pro at 18, 4 fights a year minimum, all fights but one as ko....imo he is the next tyson.....but let hope his management doesnt **** it up for him.....i like russ anber and think in the end he really knows what hes doing, but man i hate seeing such talent being wasted like this....
