He's so slow. He got knocked down by a slapper Katsidis.
How can you expect this guy to fight Pacquiao as a welterweight?

I can imagine Pac coming down to 140 for this, maybe. I don't know what other compelling fight Pac has. After tonight I'd rather see Pac-JMM III than Pac fight Sugar Shane.

What Marquez doesn't have (and never has) in speed, he makes up for with incredible timing and accuracy. Amazing counterpuncher.

One of the dumbest threads I have ever read on this forum in the 5+ years I have been either reading or participating here. Anyone that actually feels this way after watching this fight should not be allowed to be a boxing fan.

    Period.

Doesnt matter, they must fight at 140. JMMs not going to lay down for anyone. Its Pacquiao who needs to finish him, coz no one can do it, not Floyd, not Diaz, not Katsidis.

One thing to note is KAtsidis practically has no righthand and he landed a few (whatever his punch is called). He is a moving target as well. But whats impressive about JMM is his recuperative powers and his stamina. His Crdio is equal of that of Pacquiao.

THis guy is a *******. He spams basically any thread even when they dont concern Pac.

JMM looked great but not as good as he used to look. But then again he is 37.

Honestly, just honestly, do you think Marquez could fare well with Pacquiao at 140 or 147? If Marquez could be knocked down as a lightweight by a Casamayor and Diaz lleftover fighter Kasidis, you just imagine what Pacquiao can do to him in the welterweight. Remember how he demolished bigger fighters like Cotto and Margarito? Marquez may be impressive as a lightweight but Pacquiao will kill him at junior welter or welter.

I stopped analysing fights with Pacquiao in mind.

Doing so, one could see the perfromance as it should be. Katsidis is an A fighter, plus it's a clean punch/hook and not a slap or a jab.

    Marquez is amazing tonight.

Pacquiao would smash him but Marquez showed a lot of balls tonight and deserves all the props in the world.
