    Honestly... outside of his fight against Mayweather... I have NEVER seen Marquez actually beat in the ring. I have watched all of the fights that he lost... and he won them in my eyes. The Mayweather fight should have never happened, that was just silly.

    The guy who beat JMM when he traveled to Indonesia for a $30k purse because he wouldnt rematch Pac.

    Just a little summary of what happened for those who just started watching boxing in 2007.

    Marquez is a great fighter, but his resume is quite weak.
    Manny's and Floyd's resumes even before they hit 140 is better than Marquez's. Hell MAB's and Morales are arguably better.
    His win today was impressive, but don't go overboard. Everyone was saying Katisidis was tailor-made for him. When Pac destroys bigger supposed come forward sluggers his wins gets **** on, yet it proves Marquez is the greatest when he does it (and getting Kd'd in process)?
    Talk about overreaction after a win. This one takes the cake

    No he didnt. The fight was very close but John outscored (outslicked) him in that fight even though he landed the harder punches. A prime JMM should have taken that fight clear. But anyway, JMMs a great fighter, what heart!
