Baysangurov was injured in final sparring at the beginning of this week where his nose was slightly broken and his doctor advised him to scrap the fight with Moore and instead have his nose rearranged...I don't know if Moore will fight a late substitute or not...

That is bad news - yet another setback for Moore.

Also hope Baysangurov wasn't hurt too badly.

    Let me clarify the situation...

Zaurbek wasn't hurt during his last sparring. As far as I know, his final sparring was scheduled for tomorrow.

What happened is that a couple of weeks ago, some cartilage in Zaurbek's nose was damaged during sparrings. He didn't pay great attention to that. Before long, the haematoma developed. They tried to take care of it by using some theurapeutic methods and taking medicine. A week of sparrings was cancelled. At the beginning of this week, he resumed sparrings. After that, he felt bad again. Yesterday they had to pump out the matter out of his nose 4 times during a day. Today his doctor insisted on surgery, and it was performed in Kiev's medical institute. Right now, Zaurbek is in hospital, with a tube in his nose, that will be removed in 5 days. Today his doctor said during TV interview that when the tube is removed and if everything goes ok, Zaurbek may resume training in 2 weeks.

Zaurbek is really devastated with this siituation, as he'd been in training camp since September preparing for the defence of his Euro belt.

So looks like Nuumbembe will be topping the bill. I think Ali will lose btw, his opponent looked very useful last time I seen him. I say 'opponent cos I have forgotten the mancs name, & cant be arsed going over to boxrec to check. Sorry for being a lazy ****!

Cant see Craig (Watson) beating Ali mate... All about opinions though. I think Steve and Frank are looking for another fight to add to the bill too.

I reckon 100% they will show Elcock vs Abraham card now! What else can they do, Danny Williams is on that card to.

I would much rather see a british fighter going for a world title than Jamie Moore fighting someone i have never heard of.

jamie is off the Dec 8th bill, so it'll be another title fight I think. Rumours are still rife Setanta will be picking up Elcock Abraham...

why do all the good fights regarding german based fighters get called off???

    first dzinziruk vs konecny

then ulrich vs his number one challenger from the ukraine

    now this....

funny, all the crappy fights involving german based fighters seem to happen....but when the opponent is quality they injure themselves.
