Lets be honest lads the whole point of the shows are to boost the PPV's. It's all just pantomime to boost viewer numbers. So there's got to be a good cop bad cop scenario and Mayweather plays the bad cop well. The only thing that really annoys me about PBF is the way he's always pulling out the $$$. Fair enough he's earned it but there's really no need for it.

Just bring on the fight coz I can't ****ing wait:bbb

    What if I said yes?;)
I had to leave the wee safety wink in there, just to keep everyone guessing:D That way I can pretend not to have taken it too seriously if Hatton wins!
If hatton wins then I can say "aah I was just having some fun winding you Hatton fans up in the build up, of course I wasnt taking that 24/7 seriously" etc etc!
Cos if Hatton wins, Im going to need a tin ****in hat to deflect the flak coming my way:deal

I wouldnt say its all panto Tam. Theres genuine bad blood between Mayweather & Hatton I believe. Im not saying the 24/7 show is a true reflection, but the press conferences beforehand told me that these two guys seriously dont like each other.

Do you seriously think Mayweather doesnt want to give Hatton a hiding after the abuse he took in Manchester? & do you honestly think Hatton doesnt want to hurt mayweather after being goaded by him in a restaurant when the cameras werent even there? Theres bd blood between the two, & I even feel theres a racial element to this fight too, like Holmes vs Cooney. I may be wrong, but thats my opinion!

I'm talking about the way the show is created and edited. If they do hate each other there's still got to be a good guy bad guy element to it to catch the average fans attention and interest. There's probably a lot of people who have watched it on SKY who have a mild interest in boxing but now are going to pay for it just to see the trash talker get his words rammed down his mouth.

There probably is bad blood, but once it's over what's the betting that they praise each other and say how much respect they have for each other. It kind of reminds me a bit of Tyson vs Lewis again. All through their career they hated each other but once the fight was done they had nothing but praise for each other.

For many years I've been a Hatton hater if I'm honest while been a big Witter/Mayweather fan. But I've got over critisizing fighters personalities and weaknesses. I can't believe how much fans buy into the 'good guy' 'bad guy' roles.

Personality wise I think Hatton and Mayweather are decent blokes with faults like the rest of us.

2 Elite fighters in their prime, may the best man win. Can't wait to see it

WTF is wrong with Dunky, years of hate for Hatton would be abonded and turned into a fan if he found out Rick had a Scottish granny?

Two guys in their prime, but only one elite fighter. If Hatton wins, then he deserves elite & P4P status. But beating old champions & mediocre belt holders does not make a man elite. Hattons ring achievements so far are nothing on Floyds.
To be elite, Hatton needs to win, or achieve glorious failure. & by that I mean if Hatton loses but gives Floyd hell in the process, he still deserves elite status.

Never said I would be a Hatton fan, but if that guy had scottish blood in him I would certainly have a different outlook. I make no excuses, I am what I am. A scottish boxing fan who loves Scotland & fighters that have anything to to with Scotland.
Im far from perfect as a boxing fan. I admit that. Im too scottish for my own good at times.

I take my hat off to you my good man! I have been reading posts here & there from scots saying that its OK to love Ricky cos hes got scottish lineage!
Thank **** that rumour has been put to bed now:D I love stuff like this, as long as we all can have a bit of banter & admit when we are at the wind up, thats what makes the place fun!
It was like me & the Ricky Sombrero incident, theres nothing better than a good bit of madness to keep the place fresh!

Your still a ****er though Jeff for making any scotsman think that wee englander Hatton had any scottish blood in him, but Im glad he hasnt to be honest:smoke

He does. His Mothers family (both her parents) are from Fife. He is 1/2 Scottish. It might explain why he named his son Campbell and why he is so good looking.

Nothing wrong with Hatton making jokes about Floyd.

He's got to earn his pay for the cameras.

After the fight they'll be hugging saying stuff like good fight man.

I don't like Hatton but he is Elite depending on the definition of the world. Tyszu was some scalp and I must say that 1 pissed me right off but fair play to him. Now Tyszu was old but he couldnt cope with Rickys intensity

Castillo was SHOT but you couldn't ask for a more impressive performance.

I can't wait for the fight because its 1 I've wanted since 2004 (Hatton turned down Floyd as Floyds first fight at 140 and Floyd fought Corley as a second choice) and it would have been massive in 2005 when both had the belts
