I found the perfect aide to my sleeping problem, it involves boxing.

I have erratic sleeping patterns and trouble falling asleep when I need to and end up with schedule issue's. So last week I ordered a DVD of Andre Dirrell vs. Curtis Stevens and I kid you not, but all I have to do is pop that in and I am out by the end of round 3 everytime.

Normally before I'd have Baseball games on demand and use those to fall asleep, but they stopped working, I have no doubts that Dirrell vs. Stevens will work for a very long time, it is the most boring fight ever conducted.

I also may look into Ruiz vs. Holyfield trilogy and Byrd vs. Williamson just to keep variety. Maybe Gatti-Ward also, the lack of skill level is mind numbing and may work to put me out.

 

As much as a boxing fan as I am, a bad fight is a bad fight and this one is either tied with Williamson-Byrd, or just beats it by a smidge for the worst fight ever.

But it really does help me out, I'm not just making this thread for fun.

Exedrin PM, Sleep Aide, Niquil .... these guys hold nothing on Dirrell-Stevens, Dirrell-Stevens is GOLD for falling asleep, if you ever have this problem Brooklyn then I reccommend it.

You may even develop a fond place in your heart for this fight due to how it helps you out in a time of sleeping crisis.

 

At least he always wrestles.

 

Interchangable with Mayweather-DLH also.

 

Nobody would ever say Calzaghe is more skilled than Mayweather, because realistically nobody in boxing, save for Cristian Mijares, is as skilled as Floyd Mayweather in their respective styles. Calzaghe's also past his best, pretty deep in also, reflexes are nothing like his peak, which that was absurd, he could hit you accurately with a winged shot and you couldn't see it coming.:yep

But you have to take in intangibles and other factors also, Mayweather didn't impress me vs. DLH because he fought overly safe against a past prime opponent who the P4P #1 should have made easy work of and nearly shutout, which I scored it 8-4 and had no issue's with someone scoring it 7-5.

And I don't really rate DLH as an ATG, he's a seriously flawed fighter and was in his prime and I felt Quartey and Whitaker edged him and this was a prime DLH here, it was no surprise that DLH was going to lose to Mayweather, he was supposed to lose to Mayweather and if Oscar wasn't a good looking guy with the nice guy persona, he'd be rated about where he's at because he'd be less marketable.

Alternatively, it bothers me that Mayweather was so troubled by Castillo, two times, people act like the second fight wasn't competitive, but it was. It's not like Castillo is a great fighter, here's a guy scraping past Stevie Johnston shortly before fighting Mayweather. Castillo was without a doubt a top class fighter, with very good qualities, but also very beatable and not the type that would trouble a guy like Floyd thinks he is. You have to remember Whitaker handling Chavez, who was immensely better than Castillo, Whitaker likely would have won every round over Castillo, yet Floyd claims he's the best ever.

Then further, Floyd's been cherry picking lately, he doesn't want Cotto and the Williams type, he wants easy Hatton. Like I said, if guys like Mijares were natural 140-147's and Floyd had to fight them, he'd either lose or have a damn tough time winning, same with Guzman and others, but Hatton, only acceptable because he's overhyped since day 1.

So I don't like the cherry picking ****, and I don't like his fans in the same way, because they think he's unbeatable when he's clearly not and clearly can be destroyed by an elite level 'technical pressure fighter', such as Cotto in my opinion. Hatton's not technical, he's a mess, so I don't want any responses from anyone calling Hatton 'technical pressure'. Floyd has a lot of proving to do and not because we are concerned that he's not one of the most skilled ever, but because he and his dumb fans and crew claim that he's one of the best ever and I think he's a notch lower than a guy like Pernell Whitaker.

Those are some big shoes to fill.
