But these people seem to be completely disregarding the useless opponent before him. Froch was able put in that performance, mainly because his opponent did nothing to prevent him from doing it.
So, all you're doing is holding Froch to the standard of some of the top 10-20 greatest boxers who ever lived...That's not unfair at all.
Well, I guess that we just have differing opinions that can never really be reconciled. Regarding his level of success, I must confess I know nothing of him pre-Taylor. And in that fight Taylor beat him like an erection before gassing and showing his glass chin. I saw Dirrell make him look like a clown but lacking the mental fortitude to really capitalize, and I saw Abraham stand in front of him for 12 rounds. Missed the Kessler fight. I honestly only believe that he won those first two fights I mentioned, due to the combination of his crude skillset and his enormous heart/will, which I roundly commended. edit: didn't see the pascal fight either, but I saw pascal/dawson, and I think he's pretty bad too (pascal) so I have difficulty commending him for that one either.
Andre Ward should sign up for the UFC, he's a dirty little man who could never rely on his boxing skills to win a decision outside of his back garden. Froch will absolutely murder him, that is IF Ward beats Abraham to get to him, personally I think AA takes him in the semis. Son Of God...lol what a ****ing joke
I don't think Archie is in the top 20 greatest boxers who ever lived is he? Argument for another time... But either way, I've been seeing enough threads about Froch being the greatest super middle who ever lived, so I don't think the comparison is that far off...
